Plexus PDF — Privacy Policy

Short version: Plexus PDF is a fully offline document utility. Your files, photos and scans are processed entirely on your own device. Plexus PDF does not collect, upload, share or sell any of your data — ever.

1. What this policy covers

This privacy policy explains how the Plexus PDF mobile app ("Plexus PDF", "we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. It applies to the Android app distributed through the Google Play Store and to the web build of the app.

2. Data that stays on your device

Everything you do in the app happens locally on your device. This includes:

• PDF files you open, merge, split, sign, watermark, edit or convert.
• Photos you capture or select in the Scanner.
• Preview thumbnails, scanned pages, signatures and temporary working data.
• A local history list of documents you have exported, stored in your device's IndexedDB (a local browser/WebView database). This history never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time from the History screen.

None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party. It is used solely to let the app function on your device.

3. Information we do not collect

• We do not create accounts and do not ask for your name or email.
• We do not collect your location.
• We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
• We do not read your contacts, messages, calendar or browsing history.
• We do not run background trackers of any kind.

4. Network usage

The app is designed to work fully offline. It declares the INTERNET permission so that the Android WebView it runs in behaves like a standard web page. No app feature sends your data to any server, and Plexus PDF has no backend.

5. Permissions the app requests

• Camera / Photo picker: when you tap "Take Photo" or "Choose from Gallery", your device's system camera or photo picker opens. We only gain access to the photo you explicitly choose, and only for the moment it is needed. The app does not continuously access your camera or photo library.
• File access: when you pick a PDF or a folder, the system file picker is used. On older Android versions a legacy storage permission may be requested so exports can be saved to your Downloads/Documents folder.

6. Children's privacy

Plexus PDF does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app collects no data at all, there is no personal information to collect regardless of age.

7. Data security

Since your documents never leave your device, there is nothing stored on our servers to protect or secure. Device-level security (such as your phone's lock screen and storage encryption) protects your files the same way it protects everything else on your phone.

8. Your choices and control

• You can delete individual documents from the History screen at any time.
• "Clear all history" removes every stored document from the app on your device.
• Uninstalling the app removes all local data created by the app on your device.

9. Third-party links

The About screen links to external websites such as GitHub. Opening those links leaves the app, and those sites have their own privacy policies. Plexus PDF is not responsible for them.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Any material change will also be noted in the app's release notes.
